God, Computers, What Are We?
Some outstanding minds believe we will achieve "singularity" in 35 years. What is singularity and who feels this way? You can read more about it here, and I will tell you that it is when computers or artificial intelligence will surpass the human mind.
Do you believe in this? Do we have a spirit? Is there a God? Or are these just man's inventions, stemming from a need for answers and social morality? Ultimately the real questions remain, what are we and how did we get here.
The simplest answer is faith, and personally, that is what I choose. But with an open mindedness and a desire to become more aware so that I do not stagnate in any particular belief.
I believe in God, but without God would I still choose to be a loving person? Would I still strive to do unto others as I would have others do unto me? For me, yes. I believe it is important for all of us to find these answers and make conscious choices.
Perhaps, in the end, God will become apparent to us, or maybe we will come to realize we have created God in our collective desire and faith. Can we evolve beyond a need for God? If we do and then come face to face with God, what will our relationship with God be? For me, it is one of absolute and unconditional love. What do you think?
