The Power Of Prayer

We use therapy to improve mental and emotional well being. A large part of doing that is finding ways to let go of feeling bad about ourselves, to let go of programming and beliefs that make us feel bad about ourselves. To forgive ourselves and feel loved. In this way, prayer is a powerful form of therapy.

If we are comfortable praying to God, we can ask for and obtain God's love and forgiveness. The more we begin to feel God's grace, love, and forgiveness, the more we find that same grace, love, and forgiveness within ourselves. This is just as powerful a way of changing how we feel about ourselves as any other form of therapy.

We have always had the magic and power of therapy and its benefits through prayer. It is just one of the many gifts we have received from religions and spiritual practices throughout time and history.

Much of what humankind has used traditionally is being reevaluated by modern thinking, especially when it comes to religion. It is important that we do not throw out the good with the bad.

Being grateful for what has value, or had value, is important. Here's to gratitude! Happy Thanksgiving! During this week I hope you find many things for which you are grateful.
